We are Catharine and Marwan, the proud creators of Rufflect Bandanas. As passionate dog lovers and frequent walkers, we enjoy exploring trails and streets with our two fantastic rescue mutts, Lexi (adopted in 2015) and Coco (adopted in 2024). Living in the Midwest means enduring short winter days, and many of our outings happen in the dark. One particularly dark evening, we had a close call with a car in our neighborhood. It became clear that we weren't visible enough to drivers.

Determined to find a solution, I scoured the market for reflective safety items but couldn't find anything that met our needs. Inspired, I began experimenting with designing bandanas that were not only reflective but also easy to put on and take off, especially since Lexi despised anything that went over her head. Combining my design background with Marwan's creative input and a lot of trial and error, we finally came up with the RUFFLECT® bandana!

Each bandana features a reflective fabric on one side for nighttime safety and a fun print on the other side for daytime style. Our innovative design caught the attention of many, and in 2019, we decided to turn our passion into a business by launching Rufflect Bandanas at local markets. We are thrilled that our bandanas are helping dogs (and their owners) stay visible and safe.​

 

Our mission is simple: if we can help save even one pup, it's all worth it. Every pup deserves safety and style, and we are excited to be part of making that happen.
